David Suzuki Foundation
Founded in 1990, the David Suzuki Foundation is a national non-profit organization. Through evidence-based research, education and policy analysis, we work to conserve and protect the natural environment. Always grounded in sound evidence, we empower people to take action in their communities on the environmental challenges we collectively face. We collaborate with Indigenous communities and contribute at an international level in coalition with other organizations.
Today, our work focuses on three priority areas: environmental rights, climate solutions and biodiversity.

Surfrider Pacific Rim is a chapter of Surfrider Foundation, which began in 1984 in San Clemente, California, by surfers who were eager to protect their surf break. The mission of this foundation is the protection and enjoyment of the ocean, beaches and waves, which is enacted through a powerful activist network which spans internationally.
The focus for the Pacific Rim chapter is eliminating plastic pollution, implementing circular waste management practices for petroleum-based products, and working with youth, businesses, industries, individuals, and government in taking action for the coastline.
